The Medora Musical performs nightly in a 2,900 seat amphitheater overlooking the Badlands of Medora, North Dakota. This 2 hour production has been running for 60 years and honors the history of the town, the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt, and traditional Western music and heritage. The show is created by RWS Global and produced by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.
I have stage managed each stage of the production process to include: a 2 week workshop at the RWS Global headquarters in NYC, all staging rehearsals, tech, previews, cover rehearsals, and regular operations. Due to the unpredictability of performing in an outdoor venue, I have created inclement weather contingency plans outlining modifications to be made in the event of light rain, extreme hot/cold temperatures, wind, and high air quality index. I have successfully managed multiple show holds due to a variety of factors, such as mid-show injuries, technical difficulties, and weather.
The Polar Express Train Ride, Rail Events Productions
New Orleans, LA | 2024 - Oklahoma City, OK | 2025
The Polar Express Train Ride is produced by Rail Events Productions and runs during the holiday season in multiple cities across the country. This approx. 1 hour long show performs onboard an operating, moving train.
The New Orleans location was an Amtrak train leaving from the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, and the Oklahoma City location was hosted by the Oklahoma Railway Museum.
I called up to 5 shows a day and managed 3 rotating casts, totaling over 60 people. I managed staffing coverage in the event of multiple callouts a day and handled emergencies onboard in partnership with production management staff.
Opera
Production Stage Manager & Assistant Stage Manager | Various | 2019-Present
Since 2019, I have freelanced as a Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager at more than 10 opera companies around the country, including Utah Opera, The Florentine Opera, Bard Summerscape, Opera San Jose, Opera Birmingham, Opera Idaho, Fort Worth Opera, and 3 seasons as an ASM at Palm Beach Opera. I am proficient in reading music and have basic knowledge of Italian and French. I have received compliments on my ability to call a show with focus, accuracy, and a calm demeanor. I also have significant experience as both a props and wardrobe Assistant Stage Manager. My paperwork is highly detailed, thorough, and easily understood by union crews.
